Slowly

In the ocean of night 
Its 4am and I’m swimming to the sun
The sea is moving like a storm 
Towards the shore where
I’ll crash when morning comes

I remember a time 
I thought would last forever
But nothing in my world
Could hold itself together

I’m learning to breathe the air

Understanding I see the way

Realizing some changes aren’t real change
Unless they’re slow and painful
And my life is changing…. slowly

And the world was full of life
